Are you feeling lost about what to photograph and about to abandon the idea of going out to shoot?  You are not alone!  Here is the opportunity to put those feelings to rest with the change of season and new subjects to focus on. This month it is time to search out those items which have been cast asunder, left out to rust, or what is hiding in the dark crevices of the attic, cellar or shed. So go search them out and get creative!

Outdoor Light Painting

This is NOT a topic that you want to brush-off!  Dave B will show us the light!  At least, point us in the right direction so we can capture images with directed light.  Cameras, tripods and light sources will be required for this outdoor session.

KCC members are asked to meet at the T-Warf at Little Lake.

Dave Bremner will be leading this session as he is an expert in all things shot after dark.

Coffee and conversation should round out the evening.

Monthly Outing - Queensborough Millpond & Hamlet

This month's KCC members' outing will first meet in Peterborough. We will then progress by car to Queensborough Hamlet and the Millpond, (near Madoc and Tweed) where we will stop for a photoshoot and lunch. The afternoon will provide the opportunity for members to get shots at Lower Cordova Falls (between Marmora and Madoc) and the nearby scenery. This might be an opportune time to capture that "old/abandoned" monthly challenge shot. KCC members will be emailed with additional details.

If you have a need for car-pooling, please make your arrangements ahead of the outing date to avoid last minute confusion or disappointment.

Post Production Workflow

One of the things we struggle with as photographers is post production workflow. There are many software programs available out there to use. Tonight we will give members a chance to see a few different programs and what they are capable of doing. Phil, Diana, and myself (Tim) will run through Perfectly Clear, Lightroom, Corel, and Topaz.

Disclaimer: We are not experts in the software, it is just software we have used.

As stated earlier, this session is just giving people a chance to see software they may not have saw or used themselves.

Coffee (along with any members' shared goodies) will be available following the session.

Downtown Light Trails

KCC members will start the evening by meeting at the Ontario Natural Resources building. Then we will disperse to find vantage points to photographically create light trails. Different effects can be created as the light fades and darkness takes over. A tripod is a most necessary tool for many of the effects to be created.
