Image Critiquing

This session deals with improving our "critical eye" when it comes to viewing and creating images. Working in group sessions we will get a chance to view and discuss the elements that make up satisfying photographs. Stock images will be presented to be critiqued. This activity will hopefully foster a greater awareness as we proceed with our photography in future.

Coffee and conversation will follow the session.

Keep Your Hat On!

Bring your hat, what's your hurry?  Tonight is a follow up session to cap off last week's portrait instruction.  People are often asked to remove their chapeau for a photo to be taken, Hmmm, if they get angry would they become a "mad hatter"?  Tonight KCC members are encouraged to confer with their favourite milliner and bring along a favourite headdress or 2 deemed worthy of creating a portrait image with.  Cameras and tripods are suggested for this photoshoot, along with a plentiful amount of headwear.

Depth of Field

You have probably heard the term "depth of field" if you hang around with other photographers, but just what is it, and why should you bother with it? . . . and why would you want to know the size of some farmer's pasture just to get a photo of it? . . . and why is Dianna offering to bring chess pawns to the meeting?

For the answers to those questions, and other deep discussion topics, join us in this tutorial session.  Come prepared with camera and tripod to experiment with your new found knowledge!
