One of the things we struggle with as photographers is post production workflow. There are many software programs available out there to use. Tonight we will give members a chance to see a few different programs and what they are capable of doing. Phil, Diana, and myself (Tim) will run through Perfectly Clear, Lightroom, Corel, and Topaz.

Disclaimer: We are not experts in the software, it is just software we have used.

As stated earlier, this session is just giving people a chance to see software they may not have saw or used themselves.

Coffee (along with any members' shared goodies) will be available following the session.

This evening, Arnold Zageris will present some of his Antartica photographic work to the members of KCC.

- Four images from  the monthly outing to “High Park”.

- Two images that were taken during the “ Night “ session.

KCC members meet up at the Tim Hortons on Highway 7,  located east of the Bypass/Lansdowne St junction.  Once convened and after coffee, we are off to the O'Hara Homestead Mill, located on the north side of Highway 7 and just west of Madoc.  Lunch will of course be an important part of the day's activities.

More details will be made available as we draw closer to the event.

KCC Members will divide into groups based on the cameras that they use IE: Canon, Nikon, Panisonic, Sony ETC...

It is a good idea to get your manual out and do some reading ahead of time. You might even write down a few questions regarding your camera and see if someone in the group can give you some insight.

As usual there will be good conversation and coffee afterwards.

It is that time again to select, prepare and submit your image(s) taken on this month’s themes.

Your images need to be received no later than 6pm on Monday 17th

I am sure that you have one or more images you would like to share with the group.

Your choices might consist, in any combination, of;

- Five images from the downtown “Christmas At O’hara “ monthly outing.

- One December challenge shot on the theme: “ Christmas Village”

- One image that was taken at the “Spectacular Lights” evening.

- One “BestDec” photo taken in the month of December, 2018

Images should be resized to 1024 pixels on the long edge

Please use the following naming convention for your image files. (it saves a LOT of TIME in preparing the slideshow);

"first name & last initial_topic" (leave out quote marks, and don’t forget the underscore)

This evening the club members will select their top three choices that will represent the club in the Spark 2019 Catalogue. As per the contest rules, members will have previously selected their top ten choices and the results will be presented as a slideshow on this evening. Club members present will vote for their top three choices. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be awarded.

This month's KCC members' outing will first meet in Peterborough (location TBD closer to date). We will then make our way to Whitby to Lynde Shores and Halls Rd.

The monthly challenge is ” Winter Birds “ so these two locations will be a good chance to see birds. There is also other wildlife that has been spotted there as well suck as deer, racoons, and turkeys.

We will get lunch while there and that information will be provided closer to the date.

If you have a need for car-pooling, please make your arrangements ahead of the outing date to avoid last minute confusion or disappointment.

Karl will be visiting to talk to the club about a photo shoot he has recently completed. He will go the steps he took from start to finish.

Gerry will take members through a tutorial of the use of Flash in photography.

Afterwards there will be coffee as usual.
