On the last Thursday of every month, we meet at the Peterborough Jewish Community Centre to review photos taken throughout the month. We encourage all members to participate in the slideshow and speak about their photos. We want to know what you like, dislike, might change next time or, if you would like some feedback on your images.
In order to allow time to gather and create the slideshow, we ask that all participants have photos submitting no later than 6pm on the Monday before the month end meeting. In circumstances, where members are unable to submit their photos electronically, they can send their photos on a USB memory stick to the slideshow creator ahead of the due date, however this is not the preferred method.
Members are asked to resize their photos to 1024 pixels along the long edge, to ensure that the file size of both the email and the final slideshow are kept to a minimum. There is no visible difference to the photos if they are submitted at a higher resolution.
We also ask that photos are renamed to include your first name and surname initial at the beginning of the file followed by an underscore and the title, e.g. JohnS_closeup1.jpg, JohnS_closeup2.jpg, etc.). This helps everyone know who the photo is from, and more importantly it keeps each photographer's photos together during the slideshow.
